Question
i went to buy perfume in a store and in between perfumes they had a small canister of coffee to smell to clear the nose in between perfumes.
do i need to make a brocha on the coffee and if so which one?

It seems from your question that it is not actual coffee but a type of perfume, so one does not say a bracha on synthetic smell.
If, however, it is real coffee, then one should try not to smell it. If one did smell it and enjoys the smell, then in practice one should recite Borei Minei Besamim.
