Tight pants

Question

Shalom u’vrachah
In the Rema, Even HaEzer, siman 23, the ruling of the Gemara in Niddah 13b is codified, that it is forbidden to wear pants. The later authorities somewhat qualify this, while some are more stringent. From all of them it seems that it is forbidden for them to be tight.

With due respect, this is Torah: practically, in halachah, what is the ruling regarding “underwear”?
Many people, including G-d-fearing individuals, wear “triangle” underwear (briefs). Is this forbidden? Is it proper to avoid it?
I would be happy to receive sources. Thank you

According to the basic law, anything that is not actually tight is permitted. [Meaning, when it does not have a form resembling a pouch, as explained there in the Gemara].

There are Chassidic communities that are accustomed to prohibit this.
