A Wig for the Wedding Day
Question
What kind of wig is a bride permitted to wear on the day of her chuppah?
(This refers to a bride for whom it is very important to follow all the parameters of halacha!!! For everyday wear, she uses a wig without lace and a short wig.)
Is it permitted on the day of the chuppah to wear a lace wig and a longer wig?
Answer
Shalom u’vracha.
All the laws of modesty apply at all times. However, the rabbinic ruling is that one may be lenient for a bride regarding the wig worn on the wedding day, since she does not go around with it at the wedding except in the presence of women.
