Moistening a Bedikah Cloth

Question

Shalom u’vrachah. If a woman suffers from vaginal dryness, is it permissible to moisten the bedikah cloth with water and wring it out before performing the examination? If so, what should one be careful about so that the examination is valid?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah

It is permissible to perform the examination with a slightly wet bedikah cloth.

However, it should not be soaked with a large amount of water, as this may cause the cloth not to absorb properly during the examination.
