A doctor recommended that we undergo genetic testing in preparation for another pregnancy. We had a Dor Yesharim test 13 years ago.
Is it permitted and recommended to undergo these tests?

The ruling of our teacher, Rabbi Amram Fried shlita:
If there is no known specific problem, one should not recommend undergoing these tests.
