Yichud with a Doctor
Question
I (a woman) was at a doctor’s appointment, and for the purpose of the examination he locked the door for about 5–7 minutes, perhaps a little less or more.
Did I transgress the prohibition of yichud?
Answer
Shalom u’vrachah.
Indeed, this involves a prohibition of yichud.
However, this is not the case if it is known that there is a nurse, secretary, or the like who can enter at any time, even when the door is locked.
