Disassembling and Reassembling a Shower Head on Shabbat

Question

Is it permitted on Shabbat to unscrew a shower head, remove it, and then reattach it by screwing it back on?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah.

It is forbidden.

Screwing something onto an item attached to the ground is considered a constructive attachment of a building and is forbidden on Shabbat.

Consequently, dismantling it is considered “demolishing a structure.”
