Alarm Clock — Muktzeh
Question
I wake up every morning with an alarm clock placed inside the pillow (that is, between the pillow itself and its pillowcase), by means of vibration. The question is whether I may also leave it there on Shabbat (it has a “Shabbat” mode), or whether this makes the pillow muktzeh due to the law of a basis? (The question also applies if I do not actually use it on Shabbat but may forget to remove it from there before Shabbat.)
Thank you in advance

Answer
Shalom u’vrachah.
An alarm clock set to “Shabbat mode” is not muktzeh, since it is permitted to use it on Shabbat.
Even an alarm clock without Shabbat mode is not muktzeh if it also serves you for knowing the time, regardless of the ringing.
