Standing with a Torah Scroll

Question

On the festival of Shavuot, when Akdamot is recited, and also during the reading of the Giving of the Torah, when the entire congregation stands: should the person holding the second Torah scroll, intended for the Maftir reading, remain seated with the Torah scroll in his hands, or should he rise together with the Torah scroll and stand?

Answer

Shalom u’vrachah.

The person holding the second Torah scroll remains seated with the scroll.
